Authorities
Advice service and support
At CoMoUK, we are always keen to support local authorities and regional transport partnerships to shape their local shared transport plans. We offer this support by means of informal conversations, help with procurement processes and feasibility studies. We also are able to support by bringing shared transport operators together to create a strategy specific to the conditions and needs of a region or community.
If you are interested in knowing more about how we could support you, please use our contact page. We welcome enquiries.
Forum
We offer a range of online forums for local authorities and others, to come together and discuss pertinent opportunities and challenges. Every other month, we have a car and bike share forum, including operators, car and bike share forum solely for local authorities. Monthly, there is an e-scooter forum for local authorities. Quarterly, we meet for a mobility hub forum that anyone can attend. Further, we are considering a forum on Digital Demand Responsive Transport.
To find out more or sign up for these events, please contact Antonia Roberts.
We also run quarterly Scottish events that local authorities and regional transport partnerships are more than welcome to join. Details of these get posted on our events page and social media.
Operators
One of key interventions we can make is to connect you with relevant suppliers, including operators accredited by CoMoUK, across modes.
We are impartial and can help with making key contacts, and identify opportunities for your region. Learn more on our main membership and accreditation pages.
Key resources
Mobility hubs
Mobility hubs are highly visible, safe and accessible spaces where public, shared and active travel modes are co-located alongside improvements to public realm and where relevant enhanced community facilities. CoMoUK has guidance and toolkits to support local authorities interested in mobility hubs, and and you can also contact Mark Dowey, our built environment senior development officer.

Employers action kit
We can also support local authorities and regional transport partnerships in their role as employers with our action kit for employers. This includes everything you need to know, to facilitate your staff engaging more with active and shared modes, both for the commute and for business travel. Moving out of the private car isn't just great for the environment, it can reduce cost and improve mental and physical health.
