It is a good idea to make an event of the launch to generate some fanfare and get local press coverage.
Launching at a local event, for example a local fair, can help reach a wide audience. You may also be able to ask a local public figure to officially open the scheme. This should also help get press coverage and boost the initial interest.
If you are launching at an event, it is sensible to launch in the spring or summer months. You will want to do a launch with the cars so people can see them and get a feel for how it works. It is unlikely people will do this in bad weather.
To help initial interest in the car club, you can do test drives showing people how to book and access the car (and how to charge it if it’s an EV).
Offering incentives to encourage people to sign up is a good way of getting people to try it out. This could be to waive the membership fee for the first fixed number of members, or free credit to new members to encourage use.
